In this class you will learn about Nitrox, a dive gas that has a higher oxygen content and can be beneficial to recreational divers in many ways. You will learn how to determine what Nitrox mix you need and how to analyze your Nitrox tank. There is no diving required for this class. You can add a boat trip for an additional fee.
Make yourself a better dive buddy and learn how to handle emergencies during a dive. This class covers CPR, First Aid, Oxygen Provider and using an AED. You will learn all of the techniques and skills necessary through classroom and practical sessions. A handy class to take whether you are in the water or not!
This class, in combination with the CPR/1st Aid/O2/AED Class, makes you an all-around diver, capable of handling dive emergencies on your own, or helping out a dive buddy. Dive emergency scenarios deal with tired divers, panicked divers and unconscious divers, as well as handling basic emergencies that may occur during a dive.
1. You must be in good shape and be able to swim (for water-based courses).
2. A Medical Form and Liability Waiver must be completed for each course.
3. Some courses require additional purchases which may include, but not limited to, course training materials, rental gear, specialized gear (advanced-level classes) and charter dive boat tickets.
