2.27.11 – Open Water Class Completed

open water classHello everyone.

Today I took Brigid and Ardi (center of photo) out on Scubatyme ChartersScubatyme III for their final Open Water class checkout dives. It was a beautiful day out on the water and we did two great dives: The “Sea Emperor” and Turtle Ledge Reef. My students were very excited to be getting to dive on a shallow wreck and a reef, and they anxiously waited for the signal to begin our dives. Once in the water, they forgot all their anxieties and began to point out all of the fish and other animals they saw. Frantic signaling came from both students as they ended up seeing a large Spotted Eel, a big Lobster and a medium-sized Southern Stingray. They looked rather disappointed when I signaled it was time to end our dives, but that just means they’ll be heading out for more! Congratz to them both for their hard work all week!

Happy to be teaching here in Paradise,
Instructor Doug
